Heating cable PNSV is used for heating during fixed installation of oil and gas industry facilities, monolithic concrete and reinforced concrete, as well as for floor heaters at voltages up to 380 V.
• Range of operating temperatures: -60…+50 °С.
• Range of laying and installation temperatures: -30…+50 °С.
• Minimum bending radius is 25 mm.
• The wires are resistant to the effects of water and a 20% aqueous solution of sodium chloride, as well as a 30% solution of alkalis such as calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)₂) or sodium hydroxide (NaOH). Installed wires must not cross or come into contact with each other; the minimum distance between wires should be at least 15 cm.
• The wires are designed for intermittent or continuous operation. Power is supplied to the heating section via “cold” ends. It is recommended to place the connection points between the heating wire and the cold lead outside the heated area. The connection between the cold lead and the heating conductor should preferably be made by soldering with the use of a copper wire bandage, or by means of terminal boxes and sleeves. Other methods may also be used, provided they ensure reliable performance during operation. To achieve uniform heat distribution, the installed wires are recommended to be covered with a metal foil 0.2–0.5 mm thick. Heating sections may be made from 2–3 wire segments. The connections between the current-carrying conductors of these segments can be made using any method that ensures durable and high-quality contact.
• Minimum service life is 16 years.
Construction:
The conductive core is made of galvanized steel wire, 1.2 mm in diameter. Insulation is made of PVC plastic or light-stabilized polyethylene.
